Eclisse’s wars continue in Ravenmark: Mercenaries

What can you do if the country you love is being ripped apart by a bloody war that spans decades? And what if there was no hope of it ending because the monarchs in charge are argumentative and stubborn, impotent drunks, or simply content to watch the world burn? Well, there comes a time when a regular man or woman needs to take up arms. Witching Hour is making it your duty to become a dog of war with Ravenmark: Mercenaries, the iOS follow-up to Ravenmark: Scourge of Estellion.

Like its predecessor, Ravenmark: Mercenaries is a turn-based strategy game set in the fantasy world of Eclisse. Eclisse is being torn apart by war, and you need to take up arms and attempt to restore the peace. Ravenmark: Mercenaries has a few new tricks in its arsenal, however. Asynchronous multiplayer will be an option, so you can engage in battles of wit and strategy with your pals (and subsequently lose your tempers with each other).

There are also different types of engagements that spur you into switching up your strategy while letting you interact with the game’s plot in varying ways. You can take advantage of commander abilities that give bonuses to the troops that are under your command, and there are regimental standards that should keep your troops’ morale high, provided the enemy doesn’t put said standards to the torch.

Ravenmark: Mercenaries hits iOS this summer. Perfect season for a war.
