Kick back with your cat in Hackycat for iOS.

18th century naturalist/mathematician/cosmologist Georges Louis Leclerc de Buffon once observed that “The cat is the only animal which accepts the comforts but rejects the bondage of domesticity.” It’s true. We’ve bred dogs and horses to suit specific jobs, but as far back as ancient Egypt and right up to the modern day, we’ve merely expected our cats to be worshipable (on the altar, on YouTube—same difference). Well, it’s high time for cats to give something back. It’s time to play. Why not indulge in a little hacky sack with a feline in Hackycat for iOS?

Hackycat plays a lot like the traditional hacky sack that you played in lieu of going to your Psychology 101 course back in the day. You juggle a foot bag in the air using only your feet. If you’re feeling especially adventurous, you can juggle more than one.

Here’s the kicker, so to speak: instead of playing with a traditional foot bag, you actually need to keep one or more cats airborne. With your feet. Don’t worry, the cats totally signed up for this job with their free will (though there may have been promises about copious amounts of catnip. Like, the really good kind of catnip).

As you play, you can collect cheezburgers and unlock new kitty-bags including Hipstacat and Taco Cat (he’s a palindrome). You can also unlock new players, including a wolf/dog man. Unsurprisingly, said wolf/dog man is into the cat-kicking thing pretty hardcore.

Hackycat hits iOS soon. Reeeeowwrrr!!
