Dream Undercity Preview

Dinosaurs are extinct. They ruled the earth for a while, got a little too over-confident about the guests they invited to their house parties, and everything came to an abrupt end when a meteor crashed the celebration and nuked all the party lizards back to their core components. That’s what we’re taught in school, but what if it’s not that simple? What if the dinosaurs weren’t wiped out, but instead retreated deep into the earth to nurse their killer hangovers for the next several million years?

Dream Undercity is a tower-building game that plays with the possibility of dinosaurs living amongst fantasy folks in an underground world. Of course, calling Dream Undercity a “tower-building” game is a bit of a misclassification: you’re not actually in charge of a skyscraper, but instead must build a city that burrows deeper and deeper underground. Each floor serves a specific function, and it’s up to you to decide what service goes where.

If all that responsibility makes you despair, don’t worry: The dinosaurs are on your side. Dream Undercity lets you collect dino eggs, hatch them, and then breed them to make powerful hybrids. What happens when you cross a brachiosaur with a velociraptor? Probably the end of the world, but you won’t know for sure unless you try it for yourself.

Dream Undercity hits the App Store soon. The dinosaurs need someone to boss them around, and it may as well be you.
