Gossip is a divisive thing. Some of us try to ignore it, whereas others spend absurd amounts of time reading up on what insert-celebrity-here got themselves into this week. Those celebrities sure know how to party

Gossip is a divisive thing. Some of us try to ignore it, whereas others spend absurd amounts of time reading up on what insert-celebrity-here got themselves into this week. If you fall into the latter camp, then developer Tagplay is about to release the perfect game for you. Called Hotel Vegas, it’s a title that deals heavily in the art of celebrity gossip and scandal.

Hotel Vegas will be a simulation game, featuring gameplay elements plucked from hits like Tiny Tower and Diner Dash. Players are put in charge of a popular hotel, where massive celebrities like “Oprah Windfall” and “Dim Kardashian” stay on a regular basis. Typical of superstars, they don’t exactly make for the best guests, and they frequently engage in the types of debauchery they’re known for in real life. You can expect myriad parties, late night binges, and other such shenanigans.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to just sit back and watch: journalists will be trying to take pictures of the celebrities, which leads to something of a time challenge for players to contend with.

Tagplay intends to update the game on a regular basis, incorporating scandals as they happen and new celebrities with a penchant for partying. It should be noted, though, that the game won’t be released in the United Kingdom. Without going into too much detail, it appears the inclusion of certain “royal hotel guests” is preventing it. Their laws against defamation are a tad more rigorous than most other places, so it doesn’t exactly come as a surprise.

In any case, Hotel Vegas is slated to release elsewhere in the middle of next month. If you feel the need to prepare yourself, we recommend heading on down to the local grocery store and picking up any number of gossip rags.
