Sunny Drops Preview

Some people like to claim that video games rot your brain. I suppose playing them all day every day could lead to that, but let’s not forget the potential they have to teach us. I learned how to type thanks to Mario Teaches Typing; how to do math with Number Munchers. And now, thanks to Sunny Drops, I know that fairies are afraid of ghosts. That information ought to come in handy someday.

Will fairies and ghosts ever get along?

Some people like to claim that video games rot your brain. I suppose playing them all day every day could lead to that, but let’s not forget the potential they have to teach us. I learned how to type thanks to Mario Teaches Typing; how to do math with Number Munchers. And now, thanks to Sunny Drops, I know that fairies are afraid of ghosts. That information ought to come in handy someday.

Sunny Drops is a puzzle game, and each level revolves around helping fairies set up ghost traps. To do this, you must shine a light on the fairies to wake them up, and then usher them about the playing field. Easy as that may sound, there are a lot of different systems at play here. The color of fairies and flowers, for example, matters a great deal.

The game will take place across six different locations – beach, forest, Savannah, Stonehenge, a winter wonderland, and a tomb – and breaks down into 90 levels. I’m pretty sure that equates to more ghost trapping than even the Ghostbusters.

We don’t have a release date just yet, but the above trailer states that the game will be “coming soon to iPhone and iPad.” May we suggest binge-watching Ghostbusters 1 and 2 until then?
