If you live in the northern hemisphere, you’re probably dealing with some cruddy Smarch weather. Zynga wants to help take your mind off the wet and the cold by introducing two new expansions for its games: “Hawaiian Paradise” for FarmVille, and “CityVille Islands” for CityVille.
With the Hawaiian Paradise expansion, farmers who’ve had enough of mucking out cow stalls will be able to introduce ocean life to their farms, including dolphins, kelp, shrimp, and mussels. They’ll also be able to liven up the farm with volcanic reefs, as well as tropical crops, animals, and trees.
Need a break from farming in general? Uncover buried treasure at land and at sea. And when it comes time to pay up for the new good being offered (’cause paradise ain’t free), you can hand over coconuts instead of coins.
Of course, CityVille isn’t about to let its country-loving relative have all the fun in the sun. Zynga’s city-building game is also receiving a tropical expansion. Players can build homes and businesses on “Aloha Island,” or can build hotels, homes, and attractions on “Leisure Island” (after which they can take a nice long nap). And over at “Fisherman’s Cove,” players will get premium goods storage.
FarmVille‘s Hawaiian Island expansion will go out to all level 15+ players on Monday, March 5. City mice can expect the CityVille Islands expansion to go out on Wednesday, February 29.
