Game Introduction – Midnight Mysteries: Haunted Houdini

Welcome to the Midnight Mysteries: Haunted Houdini walkthrough on Gamezebo. Midnight Mysteries: Haunted Houdini is a hidden object adventure game played created by Mumbo Jumbo. This walkthrough includes tips and tricks, helpful hints, and a strategy guide for how to complete Midnight Mysteries: Haunted Houdini.

General Tips

  • When starting a new game, you can choose from one of three difficulties: Casual, Advanced, or Expert. Note that Ravens are removed completely from Expert mode.
  • In the bottom left corner of the screen, you’ll find the Journal. This keeps track of your progression in the game’s storyline, along with any puzzle hints you may collect.
  • Notice a Clover icon in the lower left corner. Collect 40 clovers to unlock Unlimited Hidden Objects Play Mode. There are 70 in total hidden throughout the game. Their locations are circled in green in the guide below.
  • Hints are limited and take on the form of Ravens. Click on the Raven in the lower right corner to use a hint. Ravens are circled in blue in the guide below. Hints may take time to recharge.
  • Items listed in Hidden Object Areas are randomized. Therefore, only the KEY ITEM will be circled (in red). Any applicable Ravens or Clovers will also be shown in the guide below.
  • While in a hidden object area, click on the name of an object on the list to reveal an outline of that object in the lantern beneath the Raven.
  • The game features a series of achievements that can be unlocked. You can access and view these achievements from the Main Menu.

Introduction: Bess Houdini

  • Click on the CARDS and the EMPTY CARD BOX to add them to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Combine the EMPTY CARD BOX and the CARDS to acquire the BOX OF CARDS.
  • Give the BOX OF CARDS to Bess Houdini.
  • Find the objects listed at the bottom of the screen. Objects may be randomized. The location of the Key Item is shown below.

  • Upon completing the area, the DENTAL PICK will be added to your inventory.
  • Speak with Bess Houdini, then once finished, take her hand.

Chapter 1: Houdini Home

Street

  • Click on the BOLT CUTTER HALF to add it to your inventory.

  • Proceed forward to the Entrance Gate.

Entrance Gate

  • Click on the BOLT CUTTER HALF (2) and the DOOR KNOB to add them to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Combine the BOLT CUTTER HALVES to obtain the BOLT CUTTER. Use it on the chains holding the gate shut to open it.
  • Take a closer look at the address plate to the right of the door. Take note of the numbers and the directions in which the jacks are facing.
  • Take a closer look at the front door. Use the DOOR KNOB on the middle slot, then click on the button combination in the order shown below to open it.

  • Enter the house.

Foyer

  • Click on the CARDS and the BIRD CAGE to add them to your inventory.

  • Give the CARDS to the ghost, then speak with him. Once finished, follow his instructions.
  • The door on the right will open. Click on the NUMBER 1 and the NUMBER 3 to add them to your inventory.

  • Combine the NUMBER 1 and NUMBER 3 to obtain the CUSTOM KEY.
  • Proceed to the Upstairs Landing.

  • Take a closer look at the Houdini poster hanging on the wall. Click on the LOCK DIAGRAM in the corner to add it to your inventory.

  • Examine the lock on the door on the right. Use the CUSTOM KEY on the lock to open the door.

  • Proceed into the Study.

  • Find the objects listed at the bottom of the screen. Objects may be randomized. The location of the Key Item is shown below.

  • Upon completing the area, the PADLOCK and the POSTER will be added to your inventory.
  • Take a closer look at the Desk in the corner of the room. Click on the AIRPLANE and the PICTURE FRAME to add them to your inventory.

  • Examine the box sitting on the desk to trigger a puzzle.
  • Make a continuous line that highlights each square. The solution is shown below.

  • Return to the Foyer.

  • Proceed through the door on the right to the Parlor.

  • Click on the CURTAIN to add it to your inventory.

  • Take a closer look at the fireplace mantle. Click on the CANDLE HOLDER to add it to your inventory.

  • Take a closer look at the box sitting on the chair on the left to trigger a puzzle.

  • Return to the Entrance Gate.

  • Proceed towards the Workshop Door on the right, partially underneath the house.

  • Use the DENTAL PICK on the lock to trigger a puzzle.

  • Click a pin and it moves all the pins for that number in the opposite direction. Get all the pins to the UP position to lockpick the door open. Click the pins in the order shown below to open the door.

  • Enter the Workshop.

Workshop

  • Click on the PADLOCK (2) to add it to your inventory.

  • Use the POSTER on the stand to the right of the chest, and a ghost will appear. Use a PADLOCK on the chains on the ghost, then use the PADLOCK (2) on the chest. Give the CURTAIN to Houdini, then use the KEY on the chest and the KEY (2) on the remaining lock. Click on the DOG’S FANG to add it to your inventory.

  • Click on the hidden object area on the left.
  • Find the objects listed at the bottom of the screen. Objects may be randomized. The location of the Key Item is shown below.

  • Upon completing the area, the MAGIC SCARF will be added to your inventory.
  • Combine the BIRD CAGE and the MAGIC SCARF to obtain the PIGEON.
  • Return to the Parlor.

Parlor

  • Take a closer look at the table. Place the AIRPLANE, the PIGEON, the DOG’S FANG, the CANDLE HOLDER, and the PICTURE FRAME into their proper locations as shown below.

  • Click for a closer view of the tablecloth, then click on the SWORD that appears to add it to your inventory.

Chapter 2: The Manor of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Entrance Gate

  • Take a closer look at the lock on the gate on the right.

  • Exit the close-up for now and enter the Gatehouse.

  • Click on the CRATE and the PLIERS to add them to your inventory.

  • Take a closer look at the skeleton in the corner. Click on the RAILROAD TIE to add it to your inventory, then click on the book in the skeleton’s hand.

  • Exit to the Entrance Gate.

  • Use the PLIERS on the hinges of the gate on the left, then proceed forward to the Manor Grounds.

Manor Grounds

  • Click on the RAILROAD TIE (2) and the BARREL to add them to your inventory.

  • Proceed forward to the Manor Entrance.

Manor Entrance

  • Click on the RAILROAD TIES (3-4) and the BARREL (2) to add them to your inventory.

  • Take a closer look at the empty window to the right of the door. Use the RAILROAD TIES (1-4), the BARRELS (1-2), and the CRATE on the ground in front of the window to trigger a puzzle.
  • Arrange the Railroad Ties and Barrels to position the Crate high enough to drop through the window. The solution is shown below.

Front Room

  • Click on the CRYSTAL BALL and the FOUNTAIN PEN to add them to your inventory.

  • Proceed forward into the Sitting Room.

Sitting Room

  • Speak with the ghost of Lady Doyle, then Houdini.
  • Give the FOUNTAIN PEN to Lady Doyle, then click on the GHOST MESSAGE on the table and give it to Houdini.
  • Click on the ESP CARDS (x5) hidden throughout the room to add them to your inventory.

  • Return to the Front Room.

Front Room

  • Take a closer look at the lock on the door on the right. Use the ESP CARDS (x5) in their proper locations as shown below to trigger a puzzle.

  • Use the left and right arrows to rotate the board. Roll the ball over all the symbols and end at the plus sign card. The button in the corner lets you reset the board. The order in which you should hit the cards is shown below.

  • Upon completing the puzzle, proceed through the door and into the Den.

Den

  • Click on the hidden object area on the left.
  • Find the objects listed at the bottom of the screen. Objects may be randomized. The location of the Key Item is shown below.

  • Upon completing the area, the DOYLE FINGERPRINT and the SAFE HANDLE will be added to your inventory.
  • Give the SWORD to Doyle, then speak with him. Examine the photo that falls to the floor.

Chapter 3: WWI Trench

Trench

  • Pick up the DOG TAGS and give them to the soldier’s ghost.

  • Speak with the ghost, then proceed forward to the Tunnel.

Tunnel

  • Take a closer look at the poster on the door, then enter the Bunker.

  • Click on the SHOVEL to add it to your inventory, then take a closer look at the top bunk on the right.

  • Open Houdini’s briefcase by inputting the correct code: 13.

  • Click on the BADGE inside the briefcase to add it to your inventory.

  • Return to the Trench.

Trench

  • Use the SHOVEL on the patch of dirt over where the soldier was previously to dig up a canister, then click for a closer view. Click on the GHOST CLUB CARD to add it to your inventory, then click on the remaining letter inside.

  • Return to the Bunker.

Bunker

  • Use the BADGE on the door to gain access to the next area.

Secret Passage

  • Proceed forward to the Doorway.

  • Use the GHOST CLUB CARD on the door to proceed into the next area.

Chapter 4: Boston

Ghost Club

  • Click on the GHOST CLUB CARDS (x6) scattered throughout the room to add them to your inventory.

  • Take a closer look at the cabinet towards the right. Click to open the cabinet, then use the SAFE HANDLE on the hole to trigger a puzzle.
  • Press a button connected to the handle that will start a sequence. Follow the directions on the button. Continue following the directions so you press each button once and end back at the handle. The solution is shown below.

  • Upon completing the puzzle, click on the DOOR KEY and the GHOST CLUB CARD (7) to add them to your inventory.

  • Use the DOOR KEY on the door on the left to open it, then proceed through.

Seance Room

  • Click on the GHOST CLUB CARDS (8-12) to add them to your inventory.

  • Take a closer look at the table. Place the ESP CARDS into the outlines on the table.
  • Talk with Mina and give her the CRYSTAL BALL. Speak with her some more, then proceed straight ahead out into the Garden.

Garden

  • Place the GHOST CLUB CARDS on the grid to trigger a puzzle.
  • Find all the ESP Cards buried next to each bush either horizontally or vertically. Place a Ghost Club Card on the ground where you think an ESP Card is buried. No card can be touching another card. The numbers along the edges of the grid tell you how many cards are in that row or column. The solution is shown below.

  • Upon completing the puzzle, the ESP CARDS (x12) will be added to your inventory.
  • Return to the Seance Room.

Seance Room

  • Talk with Mina, then take a closer look at the table and place the ESP CARDS (x12) on the table around the crystal ball, then follow Mina’s instructions. Once finished, click on the crystal ball for a closer view.

Chapter 5: Magill Theater

Theater Hall

  • Click on the LADDER FRAME and the BATTERY to add them to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Proceed forward into the Dressing Room.

Dressing Room

  • Click on the CHARCOAL to add it to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Take a closer look at the vanity on the right. Click on the LETTER OPENER to add it to your inventory, then use it to cut open the envelope in the mirror and collect the DOCTOR’S NOTE.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Use the CHARCOAL on the easel on the left, then speak with the ghost that appears. Give him the DOCTOR’S NOTE.
  • Continue talking with the ghost until he disappears. Click on the DIAMOND STUD TOOTH to add it to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Take a closer look at the vanity again. Use the DIAMOND STUD TOOTH on the glass case to cut it open, then click on the CUFF LINKS inside to add them to your inventory.

  • Proceed forward to the Back Room.

Back Room

  • Click on the STEPS and the FLASHLIGHT HOUSING to add them to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Combine the STEPS and the LADDER FRAME to acquire the LADDER. Combine the BATTERY and the FLASHLIGHT HOUSING to acquire the FLASHLIGHT.
  • Place the LADDER beneath the trapdoor in the ceiling in the far right corner, and proceed up for a closer view.
  • Use the FLASHLIGHT to light up the darkness, then click on the PAPER FASTENER stuck in the slot on the right to add it to your inventory. Use the CUFF LINKS on the slots to open them, revealing puzzles.
  • All pieces of colored metal must be removed in the number of clicks shown. Every piece of the same color that is touching can be removed with one click. Riveted pieces don’t move. Pieces with an arrow move in that direction when not held down. The solutions are shown below (click on the pieces in the order shown).

  • Upon completing the puzzle, proceed up to the Stage.

Stage

  • Talk with the ghost, then click on the AX when it drops to add it to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Once the box is pulled out of the water, use the AX to cut the chains.
  • Speak with Bess to acquire the ADMITTANCE LETTER.
  • Take a closer look inside the box. Use the FLASHLIGHT to light the darkness, then use the PAPER FASTENER on the hole to reveal a puzzle.
  • All pieces of colored metal must be removed in the number of clicks shown. Every piece of the same color that is touching can be removed with one click. Riveted pieces don’t move. Pieces with an arrow move in that direction when not held down. The solution is shown below (click on the pieces in the order shown).

  • Upon completing the puzzle, you’ll be transported to a new area.

Chapter 6: The Train

Baggage Car

  • Click on the OXYGEN TANK and the FIRST AID to add them to your inventory, then proceed forward towards the ghost.

  • Speak with the ghost. You’ll end up back in the Baggage Car.

  • Click on the GUILLOTINE BLADE to add it to your inventory.

  • Click on the hidden object area ahead.
  • Find the objects listed at the bottom of the screen. Objects may be randomized. The location of the Key Item is shown below.

  • Upon completing the area, the CROWBAR, the MATCHES, the CLOCK FACE, the FINGERPRINT BRUSH, the SILVER DOLLARS, and the OXYGEN MASK will be added to your inventory.
  • Proceed forward to the Passenger Car.

Passenger Car

  • Click on the TICKET, the COAT HANGER, the IV BAG, the BLANKET, and the PILLOW to add them to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Continue forward to the Coupling Platform.

Coupling Platform

  • Click on the PUNCH and the RAILROAD TONGS to add them to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Combine the PUNCH and the TICKET to acquire the PUNCHED TICKET.
  • Proceed to the right to enter the Luxury Car.

Luxury Car

  • Give the PUNCHED TICKET to the ghostly conductor.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Take a closer look at the first door in the corridor. Use the COAT HANGER on the vent at the top of the door to trigger a puzzle.
  • There are two colors of bearings. All bearings of color need to touch in a line horizontally or vertically. Click a bearing to see direction arrows. Click the arrow to move the bearing in that direction. Puzzle is solved when both sets of colors are removed. Follow the directions shown below to solve the puzzle.

  • Upon completing the puzzle, enter the Cabin.

Cabin

  • Click on the List lying on the seat to collect it.

  • Combine the OXYGEN TANK and the OXYGEN MASK to acquire the RESUSITATOR.
  • Place the BLANKET, the PILLOW, the IV BAG, the FIRST AID, and the RESUSITATOR into their correct outlines on the seat as shown below.

  • Return to the Coupling Platform.

Coupling Platform

  • Use the CROWBAR to lift the platform between cars. Next, use the RAILROAD TONGS to pull out the coupling pin, then use the GUILLOTINE to cut the brake line at the top (on the left).
  • Return to the Cabin.

Cabin

  • Click on Houdini. You’ll be transported to a new location. The items on the seat will be added to your inventory once again.

Chapter 7: Grace Hospital

Waiting Room

  • Click on the BLOOD PRESSURE CUFF, the LAB COAT, the IV STAND, and the DOCTOR’S BAG to add them to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Combine the IV BAG with the IV STAND to acquire the IV UNIT.
  • Take a closer look at the desk straight ahead. Click on the DOCTOR’S DIPLOMA and the MEDICAL CHART to add them to your inventory.

  • Click on the hidden object area towards the left.
  • Find the objects listed at the bottom of the screen. Objects may be randomized. The location of the Key Item is shown below.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Upon completing the area, the CLOCK HANDS, the BLOOD PRESSURE BULB, and the METAL HOOP will be added to your inventory.
  • Combine the CLOCK FACE with the CLOCK HANDS to acquire the CLOCK. Combine the BLOOD PRESSURE BULB with the BLOOD PRESSURE CUFF to obtain the BLOOD PRESSURE DEVICE.
  • Use the ADMITTANCE LETTER on the doors straight ahead to gain entry.

Hospital Room

  • Click on the WHEELCHAIR WHEEL and the SWING LIGHT to add them to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Place the DOCTOR’S DIPLOMA, the LAB COAT, the BLOOD PRESSURE DEVICE, the SWING LIGHT, the DOCTOR’S BAG, the MEDICAL CHART, the BLANKET, the PILLOW, the WHEELCHAIR WHEEL, the IV UNIT, the FIRST AID, and the CLOCK in their correct locations as shown below.

 Haunted Houdini

  • The room will change. Combine the FINGERPRINT BRUSH with the CHARCOAL to obtain the FINGERPRINT KIT.
  • Take a closer look at the small box on the bedside table. Use the FINGERPRINT KIT on the upper portion of the box, then use the DOYLE FINGERPRINT next to the print to compare them.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Houdini’s body will start floating. Use the METAL HOOP around the body.
  • The room will change again. Click on the CANDLE to add it to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Everything will go black. Combine the CANDLE and the MATCHES to obtain the LIT CANDLE. Use it on the darkness so you can see.

Coffin

  • Use the RESUSITATOR to breathe.
  • Click on the poster to remove it, revealing a puzzle.
  • Press the quilt squares to search for buttons of varying size. Buttons cannot touch each other. Numbers tell how many button squares are in the row, and if any are connected. Find all the buttons to get out, but you only have enough air for 35 presses. The solution is shown below.

Tunnel

  • Once the puzzle is finished, you’ll find yourself here. Open the trapdoor on the upper right and proceed outside.

  • Take a closer look at the gravestone at the top of the steps and read the inscription.

Chapter 8: Houdini Home Revisited

Parlor

  • Take a closer look at the newspaper on the table, then click on the KEY on the mantle to add it to your inventory.

  • Upon completing the area, the DUCK TARGETS and the LOGGER’S SAW HANDLES will be added to your inventory.
  • Combine the SAW BLADE and the LOGGER’S SAW HANDLES to obtain the SAW.
  • Use the STRAPS on the box containing Bess, then use the SAW on the box. You will be transported to a new area.

Chapter 9: Coney Island, New York

Circus Entrance

  • Give the SILVER DOLLARS to the ghost to gain entrance.
  • Click on the CALLIOPE PIPE, the BILLBOARD PIECE (x3), and the COUPON TICKET (2) to add them to your inventory.

  • Proceed forward to the Tent.

Tent

  • Click on the CALLIOPE PIPE (2), the SPIKED LITTER ROD, and the BILLBOARD PIECE (4-5) to add them to your inventory.

  • Click on the hidden object area on the left.
  • Find the objects listed at the bottom of the screen. Objects may be randomized. The location of the Key Item is shown below.

  • Upon completing the area, the BASEBALLS (x3) and the MAGIC TRICK BLADES will be added to your inventory.
  • Take a closer look at the large cage in the background. Click on the BILLBOARD PIECE (6), then use the SPIKED LITTLER ROD to obtain the COUPON TICKET (3) and add them to your inventory.

  • Return to the Circus Entrance.

  • Proceed towards the right to the Midway.

  • Proceed forward to the Stage.

  • Click on the RIFLE, the COUPON TICKET (4), and the BILLBOARD PIECES (7-9) to add them to your inventory.

  • Use the MAGIC TRICK BLADES on the box containing the ghost to separate it, then click on the SHEET MUSIC that appears in between to add it to your inventory.
  • Return to the Midway.

  • Proceed left to the Games of Skill area.

  • Click on the SLEDGEHAMMER and the BILLBOARD PIECES (10-11) to add them to your inventory.

  • Go to the Test of Strength game on the far left.

Test of Strength

  • Click on the BILLBOARD PIECES (12-14) to add them to your inventory.

  • Use the SLEDGEHAMMER on the game to trigger a puzzle.
  • Click the hammer when the striker is at its highest. Ring the bell and get a prize. Upon doing this successfully, click on the CALLIOPE PIPE (3) and the COUPON TICKET (5) to add them to your inventory.

  • Return to the Games of Skill area.

  • Go to the Fortune Teller Machine on the left.

  • Use the RIFLE on the stand, then place the DUCK TARGETS (x2) on the pegs to trigger a puzzle.
  • Line the target up with your site, and click to shoot. Shoot 5 and win a prize. Upon completing the puzzle, the COUPON TICKET (6) will be added to your inventory.
  • Exit to Games of Skill.

Games of Skill

  • Proceed forward to the Milk Bottle Toss.

Milk Bottle Toss

  • Click on the BILLBOARD PIECES (20-21) to add them to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Place the BASEBALL (x3) on the stand to trigger a puzzle.
  • Use the line to aim the ball at the bottles. The meter determines the power of the throw. Click to throw the ball. You have three tries to knock down all the bottles. Upon completing the puzzle, click on the COUPON TICKETS (7-8) to add them to your inventory.
  • Return to the Midway.

Midway

  • Proceed right to the Wagon.

Wagon

  • Click on the BILLBOARD PIECES (22-26) and the CALLIOPE PIPE (4) to add them to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Return to the Circus Entrance.

Circus Entrance

  • Take a closer look at the calliope on the left. Click on the two BILLBOARD PIECES (27-28) to add them to your inventory, then use the CALLIOPE PIPES (x4) on the device.

  • Take a closer look at the calliope pipes. Use the SHEET MUSIC on the slot beneath the pipes, then click on ROSABELLE once the music has stopped playing.
  • Return to the main Circus Entrance area.
  • Back in the main area, take a closer look at the billboard in the distance, above the calliope. Click on the BILLBOARD PIECES (29-32) to add them to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Use the BILLBOARD PIECES (x32) on the billboard to trigger a puzzle.
  • Move the pieces around until you have a complete sideshow billboard. Correctly placed pieces lock in place. The solution is shown below.

  • Upon completing the puzzle, the COUPON TICKET (9) will be added to your inventory.
  • Return to the Wagon.

Wagon

  • Take a closer look at the door of the wagon. Use the BOX OF KEYS on the lock to trigger a puzzle.
  • Any outer button turns that row or column of keys by 90 degrees. Get all the keys to line up in the same direction either horizontally or vertically. Click on the buttons as numbered below for the solution.

  • Enter the Wagon.

Wagon Interior

  • Give ROSABELLE to Houdini.
  • Click on the CARDS to add them to your inventory.

  • Give the CARDS to Houdini. You will end up with the TWO CARDS in your inventory after following his directions.
  • Take a closer look at the picture at the back of the wagon. Click on the COUPON TICKET (10) to add it to your inventory.

  • Use the COUPON TICKETS (x10) on the booth on the right, then click on the TOKEN that appears to add it to your inventory.

  • Use the TOKEN on the slot at the base of the window, then click on the notebook with the code word BELIEVE to add it to your inventory.
  • You will be transported to another area.

Chapter 10: Houdini’s Fate

Parlor

  • Click on the document lying on the table.

  • Combine ROSABELLE and BELIEVE to acquire ROSABELLE, BELIEVE!
  • Give ROSABELLE, BELIEVE! to the ghost.
  • Exit to the Foyer.

  • Continue upstairs to the Study.

Study

  • Take a closer look at the bookshelf on the left. Click on the book “Under the Pyramids”.

  • Speak with the ghost of Ford. You will be transported to a new area.

Seance Room

  • Speak with Mina. She will disappear afterward.
  • Click on the UPHOLSTERY BUTTON to add it to your inventory.

  • Take a closer look at the door on the left. Use the TWO CARDS on the lock to trigger a puzzle.
  • Click the rod to move it a notch at a time. Set the handles to the right combination in the square windows. An example solution is shown below.

  • Take a closer look at the crystal ball on the table. Use the UPHOLSTERY BUTTON on the empty diamond in the chair to trigger a puzzle.
  • Press the proper sequence of buttons on Mina’s chair to unlock its secrets. The solution mirrors the constellation on the right, and is shown below.

  • Upon completing the puzzle, click on the hidden object area that appears.
  • Find the objects listed at the bottom of the screen. Objects may be randomized. The location of the Key Item is shown below.

  • Upon completing the area, the CLASS RING, the TAROT CARDS, and the BRAND will be added to your inventory.
  • Give the TAROT CARDS to Mina. Watch her interpretation, then click on the crystal ball and you will be transported to another area.

  • Proceed forward to the Manor Entrance.

  • Give the BRAND to Doyle. Once you’re done speaking with him, the front door will open. Proceed inside.

Front Room

  • Take a closer look at the fireplace on the left. Click on the BLOWGUN lying on the floor to add it to your inventory.

  • Enter the Den on the right.

  • Click on the hidden object area on the right.

  • Return to the Manor Grounds.

  • Proceed to the right to enter the Bog.

  • Use the LANTERN to light up the darkness, revealing a puzzle.
  • The hellhound left footprints on the stones. Track the hound’s path to the other side of the bog. You can only leap one stone at a time. The solution is shown below.

Shore

  • Use the LOADED BLOWGUN on the hellhound, then dive into the water.

  • Once underwater, take a closer look at the skeleton on the right. Click on the Arsenic Bottle under the left arm.
  • After exiting the close-up, the skeleton will shift. Click on the NUMBERED TILE (x3) to add it to your inventory.

  • Return to the surface.
  • Back at the surface, speak with Doyle and click on the ROI DE BATONS card he provides. You will be transported to another area.

Seance Room

  • Go down to the Ghost Club Room.

Ghost Club Room

  • Take a closer look at the safe in the cabinet towards the right to trigger a puzzle.
  • Press buttons until you find the one that will start a sequence. Follow the directions on the button. Continue following the directions so you press each button once and end back at the handle. The solution is shown below.

  • Upon completing the puzzle, click on the Copper, and click on the CRYSTAL to add it to your inventory.

  • Return to the Seance Room.

  • Take a closer look at the door on the right. Use the BRAND on the lock to open it, then proceed inside.

Living Room

  • Give the CLASS RING to Cranston, then speak with him until he disappears.
  • Take a closer look at the middle window on the right. Click on the SPIRIT BOARD POINTER to add it to your inventory.

 Haunted Houdini

  • Use the CRYSTAL on the chandelier, then use the SPIRIT BOARD POINTER on the symbol on the floor. You will obtain the SPIRIT CODE.
  • Take a closer look at the desk on the left to trigger a puzzle.
  • Break into the desk by opening or shutting individual drawers. Finding a clue will make it easier. The solution (and the clue) are shown below.

  • Click on the PENCIL to add it to your inventory, then use the SPIRIT CODE on the open desk to trigger another puzzle.

  • Click a numbered box next to an empty space to move it. If a box can move to more than one empty space, click the arrow. The solution is shown below (spacing doesn’t matter).
  • Upon completing the area, click on the Sheet of Paper and use the PENCIL on it to reveal a vital piece of evidence. Click on the SECRET SOCIETY CARD to add it to your inventory.

  • Return to the Seance Room.

Seance Room

  • Use the SECRET SOCIETY CARD on the door on the left to open it, then proceed through.

Fortune Telling Room

  • Take a closer look at the table. Use the ROI DE BATONS card on the empty space.
  • The ghosts will appear, then become trapped in the crystal ball. Click on the NUMBERED TILES (4-7) to add them to your inventory.

  • Return to the Living Room.

Living Room

  • Click on the carpet on the floor to roll it up, revealing loose flooring. Take a closer look at the floor. Use the NUMBERED TILES on the slots to trigger a puzzle.
  • Each tile must end up in an indent with no moves remaining. The moves are indicated by the numbers on the tile. You can push another tile to a square without it losing a move. The solutions are shown below. (On the right puzzle, the red block pushes the green block with no more moves into the slot).

  • Upon completing the puzzle, click on HOUDINI’S BODY to add it to your inventory. You will be transported to another location.

Houdini’s Grave

  • Proceed to the left, then enter the Tunnel.

Tunnel

  • Proceed to the left.

Coffin

  • Click on the coffin to open it, then place HOUDINI’S BODY inside.

  • Exit to Cecilia’s Grave.

Cecilia’s Grave

  • Speak with Houdini. You will be transported one final time.

Parlor

  • Click on the poster lying on the table, then click on the box to open it.
