Maestro: Notes of Life – Game Introduction

Welcome to the Maestro: Notes of Life walkthrough on Gamezebo. Maestro: Notes of Life is a hidden object/adventure game played on the PC created by ERS Game Studios. This walkthrough includes tips and tricks, helpful hints, and a strategy guide on how to complete Maestro: Notes of Life.

How to Use this Walkthrough (Please read)

  • This walkthrough is meant to be used as a guide to assist in solving mini-puzzles and acquiring all items in order to complete the game. You may explore locations in the order you wish, this walkthrough is written to take the most direct route to the game’s finish.
  • Inventory objects will be written in bold. The walkthrough will state, “Use the inventory item on the blah blah,” because it assumes you have the item. If you don’t have the item, on your keyboard, press CTRL+F (at the same time). In the text box, type the name of the item you are looking for and press ENTER. This will scan this page for the appearance of that word.

Gameplay and Tips

  • This is a hidden object adventure game. You will move from location to location solving hidden object hunts, mini-puzzles and picking up items to use in order to proceed in the game.
  • Help on the main screen explains gameplay.
  • There are three difficulty settings.
  • Casual mode has a quicker filling Skip and Hint meter, plus active areas are indicated by sparkles.
  • Advanced mode has a longer filling Hint and Skip meters and active areas are not indicated by sparkles.
  • Hard mode has an even longer filling Hint and Skip meters and no black bar tips are given.
  • Move your cursor over every aspect of a scene, especially if you are playing in Advanced or Hard mode. It’s the only way to find everything.

 Notes of Life

  • You must return the instruments to the skeletons. When you pick up an instrument, return immediately to the stage and give the instrument to the right skeleton. You must do this to advance the game.
  • The Menu button at the bottom left of the screen will bring you back to the main screen.
  • Items collected throughout the game go into your inventory, located at the bottom of your screen.
  • Closing a window – To close the zoom-in windows, click anywhere outside of the window. Tip: If you can zoom in on the area again, you likely haven’t found everything you needed to find.
  • Journal – Your journal is located at the bottom left of the screen. It records the story’s progress and can contain clues to solve puzzles.
  • Mini-puzzles can be skipped once the Skip button fills. Click on the help tab at the bottom of the scene to get instructions on how to solve the puzzle.
  • Hint system – Hints are available in the bottom right of the screen.
  • Hints used in the hidden object scenes will point out an object to be found.
  • Hints used during the adventure mode will point out something to do in that room or tell you there is nothing to do in that room. It will not guide you as to where to go next.
  • Hidden object hunts provide a list of items to find. Click on items in the scene to cross them off the list. Items listed in orange and black require an action to be found. Once you have found all the hidden objects, an item is added to your inventory.
  • Hidden object scenes are different each time you play. Hidden objects screenshots will only highlight (yellow circles) the items added to your inventory and actions (white circles) needed to find items.

Walkthrough – Chapter One

  • From the main menu screen, click Play to start the game. Select your difficulty setting (see above for description). Watch the introduction video.
  • Click on the photograph to add it to your journal. Click Yes to take the tutorial (if offered).

  • Click on the poster. Take the bracelet. Click down.
  • Click on the basket. Remove the cloth and take an apple.
  • Click on the statue’s arm. Add the bracelet and take the ring.
  • Walk forward.
  • When the shadows disappear, take the stairs on the left.

  • Click on the newspaper. Take the rag. Read the newspaper. Click anywhere outside the window to close it.
  • Click on the rails. Move the rails and take the doll.
  • Move down and take the path on the right.

  • Click on the tent. Talk to the soldier.
  • Click on the horse.

  • Give the apple to the horse. Click on the saddlebag. Look inside. Take the flask and click on the diagram to add it to your journal. Read the note. Click anywhere outside the window to close it.
  • Click on the tent to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Move the skull to take the figurine. Click on the feathered pen to get the note. A doll is added to your inventory.
  • Walk down.

  • Click on the box. Take the plank. Add the two dolls. Take the ring.
  • Take the path to the right.

  • Click on the statue. Add the two rings to the statue’s hands. Take the notes.
  • Walk down.

  • Click on the cellar door. Add the notes. A mini-puzzle starts. Arrange the musical notes to match the diagram you found in the saddlebag (it’s in your journal).
  • Solution:

  • Go down the cellar stairs.

 Notes of Life

  • Take the plank. Take the newspaper article.
  • Click on the painting. Take the torch. When the painting falls, take the ball. Click anywhere outside the window to close it.
  • Click on the pile of dirt. Sweep away the dirt (two or three clicks) and take the arm.
  • Continue down the stairs.

  • Click on the broken coffin. Take the ball and the diagram (added to your journal).
  • Click on the skeleton. Add the arm. Click on the altar to start a hidden object hunt.

 Notes of Life

  • Find all the objects. Lift the lid off the bowl to get the grapes. Use the knife on the envelope to get the letter. A ribbon is added to your inventory.
  • Take the stairs on the left.

  • Click on the boy at the top of the stairs. When the roots take over, click anywhere outside the window to close it.
  • Move down three scenes, then take the path on the right.
  • Click on the tent to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Use the pencil to draw a mustache on the painting. Open the book and take the coin and fish. A spade is added to your inventory.
  • Click on the ladder.

  • Click on the ladder top. Add the planks on the broken sides of the ladder. Add the two pieces of ribbon to secure the planks. Take the ladder.
  • Walk down.

  • Put the ladder against the tree. Click on the hole in the tree and take the ball. Go down the cellar stairs and continue down the stairs.

  • Click on the gate. Add the three balls. A mini-puzzle starts. Arrange the balls to match the picture in your journal. Use the directional arrows to rotate the balls and stop when you see a note symbol. If it’s not in the right direction, click down once, then click the right directional button, then click up. If it’s still not in the proper direction, repeat. Continue until the notes are in the right direction.
  • Solution:

  • Go through the gate.

  • Click on the coffin on the left. Take the clef from the plaque.
  • Click on the burning bowl on the left. Add the torch to the fire to get the burning torch.
  • Click on the burning bowl on the right. Pour the contents of the flask on the bowl to put out the fire. Take the symbol.
  • Move down and take the stairs on the left.

  • Click on the pile of skulls to the right of the stairs. Use the spade to break away the clay (three clicks) and take the head.
  • Click on the broken statue.

  • Take the deck. Add the head to the broken statue, then take the symbol.
  • Move down and go forward.

  • Click on the large gold pedestal in the centre of the room. Add the two symbols. A mini-puzzle starts. Rotate the rings so the symbols shown in each magnifier match.

  • When you are finished, take the flute.
  • Walk down three scenes.

 Notes of Life

  • ***Snake warning*** Click on the snake (right of cellar stairs). Play the flute for the snake, then take the lamp.
  • Go down the cellar stairs and continue forward. Take the stairs on the left.
  • Click on the tangled roots.

 Notes of Life

  • Throw the lamp onto the ground, then light the lamp oil with the burning torch.
  • Go up the stairs.

Chapter Two

  • Click through the dialogue.

 Notes of Life

  • ***Scary bug warning*** Clicking on the table will bring you to a close-up with gross bugs (beetles, I think). Scroll to the bottom of this walkthrough to learn what you’ll need to kill the bugs.
  • Click on the puddle in front of the tree on the right. Take the glass. Dip the rag in the puddle to get the wet rag.
  • Move forward.

  • Click on the streetlamp to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Open the panel on the streetlamp to take the thermometer. Add the sail to the boat to make a sailboat. A handle is added to your inventory.
  • Move down.

  • Click on the bench. Add the handle to make a sickle.
  • Walk forward and take the path on the left.

  • Click on the pond. Take the lock.
  • Move down and take the path on the right.

  • Talk to the guardian.
  • Click on the area where the guardian was. Take the glass.
  • Click on the patch of grass. Use the sickle to cut the grass and take note of the numbers (added to your journal).
  • Move down two scenes, then take the path on the left.

  • Click on the lily pads in front of the cello. Take the fishing lure.
  • Click on the gate. Clean the lock with the wet rag. A mini-puzzle starts. Press the buttons so the combination in the centre line is the same number as you saw in the grass (137).

 Notes of Life

  • There are many solutions for this puzzle.
  • To solve the puzzle (from the beginning), assuming the buttons are labelled A-D as shown in the screenshot above, press B seven times, press A three times, press C seven times, then press A three times.
  • Note the above solution works only if you haven’t pressed any buttons.
  • Click on the gates to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Add the two ripped music sheet pieces to the music sheet on the sitar. Take the rake from the harp and rake up the leaves to get the coin. A starfish is added to your inventory.
  • Move down, then take the right path, then the right path again.

  • Click on the area beside the stage. Add the starfish. Click on the stage curtain. Add the lock. Click on the three locks to remove them.
  • Click on the stage.

  • Move down three scenes, then move forward.

  • Click on the coffin on the right. Add the plate and take the lyre. Click on the coffin again. Take the reel and the part of photo (1/5).

  • Find all the objects. Break the hourglass with the hammer to get the sand. Put the arrow on the crossbow. A statuette is added to your inventory.
  • Take the stairs on the left.

  • Click on the chest. Add the clef and the lyre. Take the strings.
  • Go up the stairs and take the path on the right.

  • Click on the bench. Smash the maraca with the statuette and take the grain. Walk down and take the path on the left.

  • Click on the cello. Add the cage and put the grain inside it. When the bird flies in the cage, close the door and take the bird.
  • Click on the gate to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Add the two bells to the string to get the bells. Give the cheese to the mouse, then take the mouse. A trumpet is added to your inventory.
  • Move down and take the right path, take the right path again and click on the stage.

  • Give the trumpet to the skeleton on the far right. Take the gun it drops.
  • Walk down twice, then take the path on the left.

  • Shoot the statue with the gun. Click on the broken hand. Take the bow. Click on the statue. Take the instructions (added to journal).
  • Walk forward.

  • Click on the area in front of the fountain. Take the part of photo (2/5).
  • Click on the right wall to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Put the doll head on the doll body to get the tilting doll. Remove the white cloth to reveal the gun. A neck is added to your inventory.
  • Move down three scenes.

  • Click on the table. Put the bird on the table and wait for it to eat the bugs. After it eats the bugs, add the deck, neck, strings and bow. Reassemble the violin according to the instructions in your journal.
  • Reassemble the violin by putting the deck on the violin body. Then add the neck, then the strings, then the bow. Take the violin.
  • Take the right path, then the right path again. Click on the stage.

  • Give the violin to the second skeleton from the left. Take the skull it drops.
  • Go down twice, then take the path on the left, then walk forward.

  • Click on the right wall to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Put the piece of mirror on the mirror to get the broken mirror. Move the top hat to get the opera glasses. A drill is added to your inventory.
  • Click on the door on the left.
  • Add the skull. A mini-puzzle starts. Match the eyes to the skulls. Click inside each ring to rotate the ring. Start by adding the proper eyes to the skull on either the left or the right, then fix the other two skulls.
  • When an eye is in the right spot, it will have a red glow.

Chapter Three

  • Click on the broken stairs at the far left. Take the razor. Click on the column on the left. Take the wheel.
  • Go down the stairs on the right.

  • Click on the table. Take the string.
  • Enter the room on the right.

  • ***Spider warning*** Clicking on the broken floorboards brings you to a close-up with spiders. You don’t need to click on this area yet. Scroll to the bottom of this walkthrough to learn what you’ll need to kill the spiders.
  • Click on the candelabra. Click on the candelabra to break it. Add the string to the broken piece and take the hook with string. Take the picture.
  • Click on the chairs. Take the wheel and the part of photo (3/5).
  • Click on the desk. Fix the lock with the drill.
  • Click on the desk to start a hidden object hunt.

 Notes of Life

  • Find all the objects. Open the pen holder to take the pen. Knock over the inkwell to make the blot of ink. Nippers are added to your inventory.
  • Leave the room.

  • Click on the statue. Add the two wheels, then push the statue out of the way and enter the room.

  • Click on the painting on the left wall and take the key. Click on the bench and take the drumsticks and the matches. Pick the note off the floor and read it (added to journal).
  • Click on the desk.
  • Take the handle. Cut the bottom of the briefcase with the razor and take the corkscrew.
  • Leave the room.

  • Click on the table. Light the candle with the matches. Take the burning candle.
  • Click on the hole in the wall. Add the burning candle, then the hook with string. Take the hammer.
  • Return to the stage (move down four scenes, take the right path and click on the stage).

  • Give the drumsticks to the second skeleton from the right.
  • Take the gramophone emblem.
  • Return to the manor (move down two scenes, take the left path, move forward and go in the door on the left).

  • Click on the broken railing at the far left. Use the nippers to cut the rod.
  • Click on the column on the left. Add the rod, then drive it in with the hammer.
  • Move forward.

  • Click on the broken column piece. Take the ladybug and the paper.
  • Click on the table to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Reassemble the cannon. Open the chest to get the lens. A lens is added to your inventory.
  • Enter the room atop the stairs (on the left).

  • Click on the owl statue. Take the duster. Click anywhere outside the window to close it.
  • Click on the emblem above the fireplace. A mini-puzzle starts. Rotate the rings to clear a space in the centre of the area. Click and drag to rotate the rings.
  • Add the gramophone emblem. When the panel opens, click on it and take the vinyl record.
  • Click on the projector on the desk.

  • Add the burning candle, the lens, the reel and the handle. Turn the handle. Take note of the movie that is played (added to your journal).
  • Move down twice.

  • Find all the objects. Reassemble the roof. Knock the flask over to get the puddle. A sieve is added to your inventory.
  • Move down and go down the stairs on the right.

  • Click on the gate. Add the key. A mini-puzzle starts. Recreate the movements you saw in the film.
  • Click on the levers to see how they move the musician. Look at the order of moves in your journal. Click on the levers to match the moves shown in the journal.

  • Assuming the levers are labelled A-F (see screenshot above), click the levers in the following order: D (already pressed), F, E, C, A. B, then turn the key.
  • Go through the gate.

Chapter Four

  • Click on the statues to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Put the four cards in the box for the box of cards. Open the small chest for the clothespin. A hook is added to your inventory.
  • Go into the workshop on the right.

 Notes of Life

  • Take the basket. Go up the stairs.

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the boards. Move the boards (about three clicks) and take the hose.
  • Click on the instruments. Brush away the cobwebs with the duster and take the pulley.
  • Move down two scenes.

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the fountain on the side of the left building. Remove the cork with the corkscrew, then add the hose. Take the wooden part.
  • Click on the statues to start a hidden object hunt.

 Notes of Life

  • Find all the objects. Use the crystal to write on the wooden board to get the heart. Put the butterfly on the cobweb to get the spider. A scoop is added to your inventory.
  • Return to the study (move down two scenes, go up the stairs and enter the room atop the stairs).

  • Click on the fireplace. Use the scoop to dig up the keys.
  • Return to the village (move down two scenes, go down the stairs on the right and go forward).

  • Click on the gate. Add the keys. A mini-puzzle starts. Turn the keys so all the bolts are extended.

  • Note there are many ways to solve this puzzle.
  • Assuming the keys are labelled A-I (screenshot above), from the beginning (again, screenshot above), turn the A key two times, turn the G key once, turn the C key once, turn the I key two times, turn the E key three times, then turn the H key three times.
  • Go through the gate.

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the branches on the left. Take the branches (three clicks).
  • Click on the firepit. Add the paper, then the branches. Light them with the matches.
  • Click on the firepit to start a hidden object hunt.

 Notes of Life

  • Find all the objects. Use the knife on the apple to take the worm. Open the bag to take the bone. A sack of bug poison is added to your inventory.
  • Move forward.

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the graves on the right. Take the horn.
  • Move down one scene.

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the tree. Use the horn on the bat. After it flies away, take the cable.
  • Return to the workshop (walk down one scene, then enter on the right).

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the lathe. Add the cable and the wooden part. When it’s done cutting, take the part of violin.
  • Leave the house.

  • Click on the house on the left. Add the part of violin and turn it.
  • Enter the cellar.

 Notes of Life

  • Take the bag.
  • Click on the shelves in the middle of the room. Take the part of photo (4/5) and the sprayer pump.
  • Click on the shelves on the right to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Open the basket to take the spring. Open the fan to take the fan design. A button (1/3) is added to your inventory.
  • Leave the cellar and enter the workshop on the right.

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the bucket. Add the sieve and the bag. Once it’s sifted, take the button (2/3).
  • Click on the table. Add the sprayer pump and sack of bug poison to the table. Put the sack of bug poison into the container, then add the sprayer pump. Take the bug sprayer.
  • Return to the manor (move down two scenes, then enter the room on the right).

  • ***Spider warning***
  • Click on the broken floorboards. Use the bug sprayer to kill the spiders. When they are gone, take the button (3/3).
  • Click on the desk to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Open the drawer to get the fish and duck. Open the shell to get the token. A ballerina is added to your inventory.
  • Leave the room and enter the room on the left.

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the table on the right. Add the ballerina. A mini-puzzle starts. Arrange the ballerinas so there is only one in each row, column and diagonal line.
  • When a ballerina is the only one in a row, column and diagonal line, it will turn green.
  • Solution:

  • Take the ruby.
  • Return to the study (move down two scenes, go up the stairs and enter the room atop the stairs).

  • Click on the owl statue. Add the ruby and take the tongs.
  • Return to the workshop (move down two scenes, go down the stairs on the right, move forward, enter the workshop on the right) and go upstairs.

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the chest on the ledge. Pull it down with the hook. After it falls, click on the chest. Add the three buttons. A mini-puzzle starts. Click on the buttons in a certain order to unlock the chest. Click on all the buttons until one stays pressed in. Then press another button. If the first button pops up, click on it again and press another button. Continue until all the buttons stay pressed in.

 Notes of Life

  • Press the buttons in the order shown in the screenshot above.
  • Take the emblem base.
  • Return to the cemetery (move down two scenes, then move forward two scenes).

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the broken tombstones on the left. Use the tongs to take the emblem.
  • Click on the gramophone. Add the vinyl record, then turn the handle.
  • Click on the crypt. Add the emblem base.
  • Move down one scene.

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the firepit to start a hidden object hunt.

 Notes of Life

  • Find all the objects. Use the glove on the bottle to get the handprint. Give the apple to the squirrel to uncover the ribbon. Rope is added to your inventory.
  • Return to the cellar (move down one scene, then enter the cellar on the left).

  • Click on the area on the left.

 Notes of Life

  • Add the pulley, then the rope, then the basket. Put three sacks into the basket. When the latch lifts, take the emblem setting.
  • Click on the shelves on the right to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Use the scissors to cut the flower. Open the envelope to get the wax seal. Bellows are added to your inventory.
  • Return to the cemetery (move down one scene, then go forward twice).

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the crypt. Add the emblem setting and the emblem. A mini-puzzle starts. Use the up and down arrows to guide the marble into the red hole.
  • If you let the ball sit for a couple of seconds, it could start to roll. Because of this, a step-by-step guide is hard to follow. Below is a screenshot of one possible solution.

  • Click on the crypt again.

  • Take the emblem.
  • Return to the manor (move down four scenes).

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the column on the right. Add the emblem. Take the contrabass.
  • Return to the stage (move down three scenes, take the right path, then click on the stage).

  • Give the contrabass to the skeleton in the centre.
  • Take the metal rose.
  • Return to the front of the manor (move down two scenes, take the left path, then move forward).

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the door on the right. Add the metal rose. A mini-puzzle starts. Move the butterflies onto the roses. To move butterflies, click on the arrows to swap columns and rows. You can only swap columns with columns and rows with rows.

  • Assuming the arrows are labelled 1-8 and A-H, from the beginning, swap the following lines:
  • F and H, then 1 and 3, then 1 and 4, then 2 and 5, then 2 and 8, then A and C, then 2 and 6, then A and D, and then B and E.
  • Note there are many possible solutions.
  • Enter the right side of the manor.

Chapter Five

 Notes of Life

  • Talk to Eva. Click through the dialogue.
  • After she disappears, open the cupboard. Click on the cupboard to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Use the paintbrush on the cat to get the black cat. Open the drawer to get the bread. A stand leg is added to your inventory.
  • Go through the door on the left.

  • Click on the table. Take the pencil. Click anywhere outside the window to close it.
  • Go through the door.

 Notes of Life

  • Click on the ledge below the mirror. Use the pencil on the paper. Take the drawing (added to journal).
  • Click on the credenza. Add the stand leg. Take the wrench.
  • Click on the armoire. Add the ladybug. A mini-puzzle starts. Rearrange the ladybugs so they all face left. Each ladybug controls another ladybug. As there’s no reset button, you may have already moved the ladybugs so a step-by-step guide isn’t helpful. Press the ladybugs to get a sense of what moves what.

  • Once you’ve unlocked the armoire, click on it again. Remove the red cloth and take the piano lid prop.
  • Leave the room.

  • Click on the chandelier. Remove the nuts with the wrench.
  • Use the piano lid prop on the piano. Click on the piano to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Click on the jack-in-the-box to get the bear. Move the blue cloth to get the note. A cogwheel is added to your inventory.
  • Move down two scenes.

  • Click on the vines blocking the path forward. Lift the broken statue with the tube and take the cogwheel.
  • Click on the cupboard to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Open the drawer to get the cheese. Open the pocket watch to get the clock hands. A painting part is added to your inventory.
  • Go through the door on the left, then out onto the balcony, climb down the balcony and move forward to the mansion.

  • Click on the base of the tree. Take the cogwheel.
  • Use the boomerang to knock the chest out of the tree. Click on the chest and take the axe.
  • Click on the painting of a violin (left wall). Remove the painting. Add the three cogwheels and pull the lever.
  • Click on the display case that is now open. Take the stick.
  • Return to the music room (move down three scenes, then go through the door on the left).

  • Click on the xylophone. Add the stick. A mini-puzzle starts. Play the tune according to the sheet music. Note the keys each have five areas. Hit the key in the area according to the sheet music.

  • Hit the keys, from left to right, in the area shown in the screenshot above.
  • Hit the keys with the tip of the stick, now with the hand.
  • The key that is bright blue is the one you have to hit next. If you make a mistake, you must start over again.
  • When you are finished, take the painting part.
  • Return to the mansion (leave room, then out onto the balcony, climb down the balcony and move forward to the mansion).

  • Click on the painting on the far wall. Add the two painting parts. Note, if you can’t add a painting part on one side, add it to the other.
  • Click on the pedestals. A mini-puzzle starts. Rearrange the pieces of the bust to match the painting. Refer to your journal for the proper position of each bust.
  • This is similar to a Towers of Hanoi puzzle EXCEPT you can stack bigger pieces on top of smaller pieces. Swap the pieces to arrange the busts.
  • Take note of their coats, it’s easy to mix these up.

Chapter Six

  • Go down the passage.

  • Click on the debris on the right to start a hidden object hunt.

  • Find all the objects. Reassemble the rake. Put the deflated balloon on the pump to get the balloon. A rake is added to your inventory.
  • Return to the gazebo (move down two scenes, then go through the archway on the right).

  • Click on the patch of grass. Use the rake and take the worms.
  • Click on the statue. Cut the roots with the axe. After the statue falls, take the medallion.
  • Move down one scene.
  • Click on the fountain.

 Notes of Life

  • Give the worms to the duck. Keep the cursor in the centre of the screen and click once to throw a worm. Wait for the duck to go get the worm, then click again to throw another worm. Continue until you are out of worms and the ducks is close to you. If you can’t throw a worm, move your cursor around.
  • When the duck is close to you, take the medallion from around its neck.
  • Return to the sewing room (move down two scenes).

  • Click on the table. Add the medallion you got from the duck. Take the figure.
  • Return to the gazebo (go out onto the balcony, climb down the balcony and go through the archway on the right).

  • Click on the top of the gazebo (not the centre).
  • Add the figure. A mini-puzzle starts. Rearrange the musicians to match the photo in your journal. Click on the body parts to move them.

  • Find all the objects. Use the can opener to open the can and take the olive. Put the wings back on the angel, then take it. A wire is added to your inventory.
  • Return to the mansion (move down one scene, then forward) and go down into the passage.

  • Click on the pipe. Add the sole, then add the wire. If you are having a hard time placing the wire, place it on the left side of the sole. When the steam disappears, take the lever.
  • Click on the door on the left. Use the flask of acid on the lock.
  • Enter the room.

  • Talk to Alice. Click through the dialogue. Click on Alice. Unlock her shackles with the lever. Click through the dialogue. She gives you keys.
  • Click on the pile of rope on the floor. Move the rope and take the part of photo (5/5).
  • Return to the sewing room (move down five scenes).

  • Click on the wall frame. Add the five parts of photo. A mini-puzzle starts. Rearrange the photo parts to complete the photo (in your journal). Click on two pieces to swap their position.

  • Open your journal and take note of the order of the flower colours.
  • Close your journal and note the skeleton’s bowtie colours. Based on the order of the flowers, press the skeletons according to their bowtie colours.

  • In the following order, click the: drummer, violinist, violinist, pianist, trumpeter, drummer, pianist, trumpeter, cellist, pianist and cellist.
  • Take the medallion that is dropped.
  • Return to the underground passage (move down, take the left path, move forward, go through right door, go through left door, go out onto balcony, climb down the balcony, move forward and go down the passage).

  • Leave the cell.

  • Click on the loose stones. Break them up with the pick (three clicks). Open the chest and take the dynamite.

  • Add the three medallions. A mini-puzzle starts. Press the medallions so they all are pressed in. There is no reset button so a step-by-step guide isn’t helpful. Press the medallions to get an idea of what each button controls.
  • Once you’ve unlocked the door, enter the laboratory.

  • Talk to Francois. Click through the dialogue.
  • Click on the jar. Add the cord to get the wet fuse.
  • Leave.

  • Click on the area of the pipe closest to the door. Add the wet fuse to get the fuse.
  • Go back into the laboratory.

  • Click on the generator. Add the dynamite, then add the fuse. A mini-puzzle starts. Rearrange the fuse pieces so they are all connected.
