Legendary Heroes wants to put a DotA experience in your pocket
The Defense of the Ancients mod for Warcraft III has provided the inspiration for some great games over the past few years. Titles like League of Legends and Heroes of Newerth have managed to delight computer gamers, but a mobile version of the mod has been noticeably absent. That’s all about to change, though, thanks to Maya Games’ upcoming Legendary Heroes.
Legendary Heroes is a action real-time strategy game that will have you commanding heroes as they roam across maps and take out enemy towers; essentially, this is a combination of action RPG/RTS and tower defense elements. The heroes are inspired by myths and legends from various cultures, so some will undoubtedly look familiar while some other may seem rather strange. So far, eight different heroes have been revealed, and each will have their own unique story and abilities.
Each battle will feature two different teams of heroes going against each other, vying for dominance on the battlefield. During each level, you can control up to three heroes, and can provide them with different gear and upgrades. The game is also set to feature a campaign that is promising “hours” of entertainment.
Legendary Heroes is due out sometime soon, as it’s supposed to be released early this year. The best part, though, is that it’ll be free-to-play when it comes.
