Kalypso Media and Akella announce Disciples III: Resurrection

Kalypso Media and developer Akella have announced a new chapter in the Disciples series of turn-based tactical RPGs. In Disciples III: Resurrection, players will return to the mythical land of Nevendaar, where they’ll lead an army of walking dead.

Fallen heroes and monsters will be under your control, as you exact revenge in the name of their dark Goddess, Mortis. Players will be challenged to defeat their enemies using a combination of magic, brute force and courage.

Other features of Disciples III will include:

• A new race – The Undead Hordes — a fan favorite, these walking dead beasts (including Death Dragons, Vampires, werewolves and more) and heroes will ravage the land of Nevendaar and challenge players’ tactical skills to their utmost.
• Huge campaign with more than 70 hours of gameplay
• More than 50 new units, plus two new storyline characters and four leaders for the Undead Hordes
• Distinct gothic theme, with detailed artwork and character models.

Disciples III will launch in January 2012 on the PC.
