Rotastic’s one-button gameplay swings onto PC
Rotastic is an upcoming arcade/puzzle game with a simple one-button gameplay mechanic based on swinging to collect items, escape deadly traps and foes (like robotic metal ghosts and enormous flying piranhas), send your opponents flying to their doom, smash bricks, execute aerial acrobatics, or top the fastest speedruns.”
Uniquely, the heroes of Rotastic do not walk and rely instead on using physics and a trusty rope to swing to their destination. Gameplay couldn’t be simpler: press down to hook your rope to the nearest anchor point, gather momentum, and release the button at the right time to fly to the next point. The solo campaign features nearly 70 levels, and players can replay levels at any time to try to earn gold helmets on each course.
There’s also a local multiplayer mode with races and deathmatches for up to four players. Battle mode provides frantic fun as players nab gems and slice each other’s ropes, sending them flying into the bottomless pit below. Players can also compare scores with players around the world and compete in leaderboard challenges.
Rotastic is being developed by Dancing Dots and published by Focus Home Interactive, and is coming soon to PC as well as Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network.
