Defend the rich and famous in the upcoming Celebrity Bodyguard

Being a celebrity may seem glamorous, but fame can be a lot more work than it seems. There’s photo shoots, autograph signings, late night TV appearances – it’s enough to make your head spin. And then there are the fans! Who’s going to protect you from them? If you’re looking to draw a line of defense between you and your adoring public, there’s only one person you need to call: a Celebrity Bodyguard.

An upcoming side-scrolling action game from developer Bravo Game Studios, Celebrity Bodyguard puts players behind the dark glasses of well-tailored suit of a security agent for hire. With a dash of humor, players will protect their famous clients from stalkers, snipers, protesters and more.

Each of these baddies will come equipped with their own method of disposal. For example; you’ll want to use your ranged weapon on hillbillies to dispose of the quickly, while a protestor in a panda suit may need a gun shot to stun them, followed by a punch to knock their lights out. If this is starting to sound complicated, don’t worry. The developers are promising touch-based controls that “allow you to easily shoot and punch at the swipe of a finger.”

So who will you be protecting in your role as Celebrity Bodyguard? Spoofs of recent pop culture phenomenons, of course! You’ll be able to pick between Rustin Beaver, Lady BlaBla, and Rober Parkson. It’s enough to melt any teenie boppers heart.

Even though the game hasn’t been released yet, the team at Bravo are already planning new content. Players can expect to put their lives on defending new celebrity spoofs in the future, including “Charlie Spleen.”

Celebrty Bodyguard is expected to hit the App Store next Thursday, April 28th.
