Lost Chronicles: Salem – Game Introduction

Welcome to the Lost Chronicles: Salem walkthrough on Gamezebo. Lost Chronicles: Salem is a hidden object adventure game played on the PC created by Vast Studios and Nat Geo Games. This walkthrough includes tips and tricks, helpful hints, and a strategy guide for how to complete Lost Chronicles: Salem.

General Tips

  • Game options can be accessed from the Main Menu.
  • During main gameplay, the Journal can be accessed. It is located at the bottom left corner of the screen. Inside the Journal, you will find How to Play, Clues, Map, Familiars, Events, Locations, and People. Clues will keep track of helpful hints you may need to solve puzzles later on. The Map will show you your current location and where you need to go. Familiar will keep track of all the animals you’ve met, and give helpful clues as to any you may still need to encounter. Events, Locations, and People will take you through the history of Salem and the inhabitants and places within.
  • Hints come in the form of Fireflies, and are kept within a jar which can be accessed at the bottom right corner of the screen. Hints are infinite, though they take a short while to recharge between use. Hints will show you where specific items or objects are hidden, or if you’re not sure where to go next, clicking on the hint button will tell you where you should go, without actually using a hint. Every time you find and successfully frighten off a Familiar, the time you must wait for hints to recharge decreases.
  • Throughout the game, you will encounter Familiars. Familiars are animals which flock towards witches, so you must frighten them off using the Family Heirloom. Click when the cursor and stones turn orange: doing this successfully for each stone will frighten the animal away. If you fail, not to worry: you can try again as many times as you need to. You can keep track of the Familiars you’ve encountered, and how many you still need to ward off, in the Familiars portion of your Journal.
  • Clicking too many times in the wrong locations will cause your cursor to momentarily turn red hot and become unusable.
  • It should be noted Lost Chronicles: Salem is not a strictly linear game: tasks and areas can be accomplished at different times and in different orders. The following strategy guide follows one of the most linear paths, while keeping items of importance to a specific area generally within a chapter. Key Items are capitalized and Locations are italicized.
  • Areas you should look at, Familiars, and general objects are circled in red in the guide below: key items are circled in blue.
