Find out how much your antiques are worth on the Antiques Roadshow
Julia is a huge fan of the TV show Antiques Roadshow – so much so that it inspires her to get a job at an antiques shop. In Antiques Roadshow, an upcoming hidden object game from Namco Networks, Julia lives out her dream by travelling around the U.S. to retrieve valuable antiques, restore them, and then have them appraised on the television show.
There’s also a mystery to be solved. Julia’s boss, Mr. Hinton, has a couple of family heirlooms – a strange artifact that looks like some sort of decoder, and a scrap of paper – and he’s trying to find out what they mean. The antiques that Julia finds on her travels just might hold the key to solving the mystery that’s been in Mr. Hinton’s family for generations.
The game boasts more than 30 locations and two modes (timed and relaxed). Gameplay is a blend of hidden object searching and collecting key items that are added to an inventory and used to solve puzzles. (In the very first room, for example, we had to find a ladder to gain access to the house’s attic crawlspace.
Antiques Roadshow is launching in the next couple of weeks for PC.
